When you subscribe to SpellCast, you have 30 days from the date of your first payment to decide whether it is worth it for your family. If you are not satisfied — for any reason — reply to any email we have sent you, or write to support@spellcast.academy, and we will refund your payment in full.

No forms. No hoops. No awkward questions. We will process the refund within 3 business days.

What is covered

  • The first payment of any new SpellCast subscription — monthly or annual.
  • Annual subscriptions: the full £19.99 is refunded if you claim within 30 days of subscribing.
  • Monthly subscriptions: your first month's payment of £2.99 is refunded if you claim within 30 days of subscribing.

What is not covered

  • Renewal payments — the guarantee applies to new subscriptions only, not to automatic renewals after the first billing cycle.
  • Accounts that were suspended for breach of our Terms of Service.

If you are unsure whether your situation is covered, just ask. We would rather give a refund we did not have to than have a parent feel stuck.

How to claim

Simply reply to any SpellCast email — your welcome email, any trial email, any receipt — and tell us you would like a refund. Or email us directly:

Include the email address on your SpellCast account. We will confirm by email once the refund is processed. The refund goes back to the original payment method via Stripe — this typically takes 5–10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your bank.

Why we offer this

SpellCast starts with a 14-day free trial — no card required. But we know that 14 days is sometimes not enough to judge whether a habit is forming. Some families take a couple of weeks just to get settled into a routine.

The money-back guarantee gives you a full month with no financial risk. We think that is only fair when you are trusting us with your child's education.

If the app is not helping your child, we do not want your money. It is as simple as that.

Frequently asked questions

Does cancelling automatically trigger a refund?

No. Cancellation stops future payments but does not automatically issue a refund. If you want a refund, email us as described above within 30 days of your first payment.

What if I subscribed more than 30 days ago?

The 30-day guarantee applies to the initial subscription period. If your situation is unusual — for example, you were unable to use the app due to illness — reach out anyway and we will consider it on a case-by-case basis. We are a small team and we are reasonable people.

Do I lose my child's progress if I get a refund?

No. Your child's data is preserved until you explicitly delete it. If you come back to SpellCast in the future, everything is still there.
